On September 02, 2022 BTTN delivered a capacity building talk on “Harassment in Office Environments”. The talk emphasized upon providing an awareness about existing laws related to harassment, types and modes of harassment and the importance of awareness in this regard. Dr. Maria Malik also talked on the concept of defamation as at times, harassment cases are lodged with the malicious intent of defamation. To that end, Dr. Maria Malik recommended that at any instance, proof of harassment should be preserved as without any proof, accusing someone of harassment amounts to defamation. She also enlightened the faculty members on how to lodge complaints through proper channel so that departmental and legal actions can be taken.
